The power cables in the Nexus series are made of monocrystal copper wire (UPOCC).
24 wires are used in each conductor, separately braided with cotton, 6.8 mm2 in each conductor (AWG 9).
The ground connection is made of silver-plated OFC copper wire, also AWG 9.
The wires are 100% sealed against oxidation.
Our experience and many tests with UPOCC copper wire have shown that it is the best type of wire where high voltage and current must be transmitted. Here copper surpasses even the best silver wire.
The power cable is shielded and supplied with Furutech NCF connectors.
The plugs are available in both (R) rhodium plated and (AG) silver plated for most markets.
The rhodium version is chosen for its open and detailed sound, while the silver version is chosen where a slightly calmer sound is desired.
It is entirely up to individual preferences.
